Sentenced
This is a short platformer that I made for "My First Game Jam Winter 2021". I hope it is enjoyable. I was able to learn a lot by putting this together. Feedback is absolutely appreciated. I have uploaded a web version, Windows executable, and a Linux executable. You can use either keyboard or a controller. Many of the jumps require dashing. It's E on the keyboard and X on an Xbox gamepad. There is an instruction/controls screen. Gamepad is recommended.

If this is what platformers were like back in the day, thank goodness I don't play platformers. All jokes aside, this is pretty well done. Like the music and the atmosphere but I need to take a break from seeing my corpse skipping across lava like a skipping stone, or just skipping around in general

Thank you. That is what I was going for. I know the level pretty well from playtesting and I can't make it with Keyboard.
I like the atmosphere of the game though you do die pretty fast. Love the Music
Thank you. I was trying to capture the frustration of really hard old school platformers from the NES and SNES era. I was able to complete the level about 5 times after playing it through probably 30 times during testing. So it's kind of hard, but that was what I was going for.
